Le Parker Meridien Revamps Its Room Service Menu to
Give Today’s Travelers More of What They Want
New York, NY – Le Parker Meridien has revamped its room service menu to give today’s travelers more of what they want. “Fancy” food is out and short-order fare elevated to four-star status is in. Based on the growing popularity of the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant Norma’s, the new menu features fare that guests are clamoring for.
“We found that guests weren’t ordering a five-course lobster dinner to their rooms,” said Steven Pipes, General Manager of Le Parker Meridien. “Room service was inundated with calls requesting menu items from Norma’s. We decided to change the room service menu to give guests more of what they were looking for.”
Available 24 hours a day, seven-days-a-week, the new menu caters to a growing number of room-service groupies -- travelers who are taking to their beds for on-the-road dining. New items such as A Really Big Burger, “Grown Up” Grilled Cheese with Five Cheeses, Louisiana Crab Cakes, and Smokey Maple BBQ Ribs will make guests never want to leave their room again. Starters, including Tomato Mozzarella Bruschetta Salad, Stuffed Skins and Buffalo Wings in three degrees of heat, will make in-room diners wonder why anyone would want to change out of their pajamas to eat. Rooms Service chefs are tossing dough and shredding cheese, creating a slice of Little Italy with homemade pizzas including The Margarita and BBQ Jack Chicken. New menu sections including Healthy Things, Mama’s Idea of Breakfast and a special kids only menu - Not For Grown-Ups offer something for everyone.
“When it comes to room service it’s the comfort food that is overwhelmingly popular today,” Pipes continues. “So we created a new menu entirely made up of what we call short-order fare elevated to four-star status.”
Those checking in with a sweet tooth will be satisfied with the “Worth The Calories” dessert specials created by the hotel’s French bistro Seppi’s. Specialties include homemade Chocolate Flyer Cake, White Chocolate Cheesecake and a Fruit Tart du jour.
